Enclosure Customizing

Picture of enclosures

All enclosures need to be customised to some degree before assembly can commence and so more and more customers are making use of our customising facilities. We are able to supply enclosures and cases to your exact requirements when you want them, so you can start your assembly as soon as they arrive.

It makes sense to use a single supplier for both your enclosures and customising as this greatly reduces your administration and production costs.

Cadlow Enclosures are always pleased to quote for the customising of pre-production and production quantities.

Machining

Enclosures can be supplied already machined to customer drawings for prototype and production runs.

For small quantities, high quality jigs are used to ensure accuracy and repeatability. For large quantities, or where complexity dictates then numerically controlled machines are employed.

Standard and special punch tools are available and for large batches offer a low cost method of customising plastic enclosures and metal panels.

Special Colours & Finishes

Depending on the size of the enclosure and the plastic material, special colours are available for relatively small quantities, even on scheduled orders. Colours for moulded plastic enclosures should be selected from the RAL colour range.

All metal and some plastic enclosures can be painted or powder coated to the BS or RAL colour range. Finishes include stipple, matt, semi-matt and gloss.

Tamperproofing

The emphasis on security and safety has resulted in a need for enclosures secured with tamperproof screws to prevent unauthorised entry and yet allow easy access by personnel with the correct tools.

A number of our enclosures and cases are available with the option of tamperproof screws.

Screen Printing

Logos and other graphics can be screen printed on to metal and plastic enclosures and front panels from customers free issued artwork.

A range of colours are available and to ensure durability epoxy ink is normally used.
